Shingari, the founder of the school, took her first dance step at age four in Kerala, India, and was teaching fifty students a week before she finished high school. An award-winning choreographer who completed her Bharatanatyam Arangetram in 2013, her specialties span Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, folk, Bollywood, modern, jazz, and hip-hop. She is based in San Francisco, where she leads the school’s national operations and teaches privately.
