Weekly group classes for boys, girls & adults, ages 5 and up

Shingari’s School of Rhythm Chicago has been dancing since September 2014, with weekly classes for boys, girls, and adults ages 5 and up in the Westmont and Des Plaines area.

Our Chicago students perform at cultural programs across the region, including community organizations, churches, and schools, and they have won prizes for cinematic Bollywood dance at prestigious Chicago-area competitions.

Chinu Thottam

Regional Director, Greater Chicago

Chinu Thottam is a well-known dancer, choreographer, teacher, actress, and event anchor in the Indian community nationwide. Trained in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, folk, and Bollywood cinematic styles, she has been dancing since the age of five and won awards at district- and state-level youth festivals in India. A full-time nurse practitioner and mom, Chinu launched Shingari’s School of Rhythm in Chicago in 2014 to share her passion for dance and give her students maximum time on real stages.
